Massage on the Crystal Coast
Massage and bodywork is not just a career, it is a passion of mine, and wellness is a way of life.
I am licensed under the NC Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy and am trained in a variety of modalities. Some of these include Swedish, Esselan-inspired, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Reiki, Visceral, Pregnancy or Prenatal massage, and Sports Massage. I have clinical aromatherapy education, and most recently completed Upledger's CranioSacral Therapy I. Most clients benefit from a blend of several modalities depending on the symptoms and goal of the client.
The relaxation benefits of massage are almost countless, but I also enjoy working on the medical end of the massage spectrum. Upon completing the Massage Therapy licensing program at Carteret Community College, I attended an additional year focusing on medical massage, earning my Associates Degree in the Allied Health Sciences. During this time and there after, I worked for a local physical therapy clinic, further learning about post surgical care and rehabilitation. I am credentialed in Medical Massage, and plan to continue expanding my knowledge on Neuromuscular Therapy and patient care. I have discovered over the years working on the physical symptoms is usually not enough, which is why my knowledge is expansive and I use blended modalities to treat mind body & spirit.
I enjoy incorporating wellness and self care into my life, and my family's. We enjoy exploring nature, gardening, and many water activities. I have been an AB Sea Turtle volunteer since 2011 and dog foster with Misplaced Mutts since since 2016. I enjoy cooking and eating nutritious foods and believe food is medicine. I enjoy running on the beach, biking, trail walking, scuba diving, and horseback riding.
I will be glad to discuss any questions you may have about massage or health and wellness in person, on the phone, or by email.
I look forward to booking an appointment with you!
In Good Health and Well Being,
Nicole~*
